The Importance of a Board Manual

The Business Network Board Manual is a Manual for the Board of Directors of a Limited company. Every Limited company has the same legal standing, as set by the Companies Act and the Insolvency Act. All directors have the same duties in respect of their company. Hence the Board Manual – a manual to guide Directors how to run a limited company as well as the business of that company.

The Board Manual is in 20 sections, and comes in a hard copy lever arch file format to file all paperwork relating to the company, and in electronic format to file all the data files relating to the company. The hard copy version and the electronic version follow the same filing system, based around the four core directors on the board – Managing, Sales, Operations, Finance. The idea is to keep it simple, a place for everything, and everything in it’s place. As the business grows so does the manual. And the beautiful part is that when or if you put the business up for sale, prospective buyers can buy with confidence because you have a business that has systems and files that will allow them to pick up the management of the business where you left off seamlessly, thereby enhancing the premium on the sale price.
